Opening cervical space..fascia pin and stretch hold

The goal is to decrease acute pain and restriction, improve tissue mobility and muscular function. For chronic, recurring symptoms, seek our Elite or Apex treatment approach.

The location of pain may identify the area demanding attention without revealing the complete pattern influencing it.

Muscular pain rarely exists in isolation. A painful or restricted area may be influenced by trigger points, altered muscle function and tension extending through the surrounding fascial network.

Hybrid Neuromuscular Therapy & Myofascial Release combines precise, muscle-specific treatment with an understanding of the fascial relationships that influence movement.

How This Level Approaches the Body

Your appointment begins with a conversation about your symptoms, movement limitations and treatment goals. Postural and functional observations help identify not only the muscles producing discomfort, but also the connected tissues influencing how those muscles function.

Clinical care remains focused on the primary complaint while examining the larger muscular and myofascial relationships surrounding it.

Treatment That Adapts to You

Neuromuscular therapy addresses trigger points, muscular tension, spasms and altered muscle function. Myofascial techniques allow your therapist to follow restrictions into connected tissues instead of treating the painful area in isolation.

Depending on your presentation, treatment may incorporate neuromuscular techniques, myofascial release, functional cupping, PNF stretching and assisted movement. Pressure, direction and technique are continually adapted according to comfort, tissue response and changes in movement.

Supporting More Efficient Movement

The objective is to reduce discomfort while improving the muscular and fascial relationships affecting how you move. Relevant areas may be reassessed throughout treatment to identify changes in mobility, tissue quality and muscular function.

When appropriate, focused post-session movements may be recommended to reinforce healthier muscular coordination and help your body retain the functional improvements introduced during treatment.

This Treatment Is Ideal For

This treatment is ideal for localized or moderately complex concerns requiring greater precision than general therapeutic bodywork. These may include recurring muscular pain, trigger points, restricted range of motion, spasms, athletic strain or symptoms involving a primary region and its surrounding tissues.

General maintenance and minimal-to-moderate complaints may be appropriately served through Foundations. Symptoms extending across multiple regions or reflecting broader postural and whole-body fascial patterns may require Elite or Apex care.

OUR TREATMENTS

Clinical: Hybrid Myofascial & Neuromuscular Therapy

Provided by: Alicia C.

Available Add-Ons

Enhancements: Enhancements are integrated within your scheduled session time. They complement the primary treatment focus without extending the overall appointment length.
Extensions (+10 Minutes): Extensions add 10 additional minutes of focused work, allowing for deeper experience.

Functional Cupping

Add a few minutes of functional cupping to enhance your functional bodywork. Hydrates tissue, assists in alignment and pain reduction.

Empirical Feet — Targeted Reflexology Reset

A concentrated reflexology and foot knead. Reflexology focuses on mapped zones of the feet corresponding to systemic function. And via the Empirical Knead Functional Model, a foot massage honoring the flow of your arches; with stretching of toes, feet and ankles. Free the feet, free the body.

Aromatherapy

A curated single or essential oil blend applied strategically to support nervous system regulation, breath depth, and session integration.

Selected based on your clinical presentation and desired outcome — grounding, energizing, respiratory support, or deep relaxation.

Designed to complement your primary session without extending time.

Scalp Knead Therapy

Focused work addressing muscle and fascial tension across the scalp, cranial plates, jaw, and temporal region.

Daily activities such as chewing, speaking, screen use, and prolonged concentration often create accumulated tension in these structures.

This extension supports decompression of cranial fascia, jaw soft tissue, and upper cervical attachments — encouraging nervous system down-regulation and postural ease.

CBD Enhancement

Pain and anxiety feed on each other. Physical discomfort heightens nervous-system arousal, which lowers your pain threshold and makes tension feel more intense. Our topical CBD enhancement is designed to help interrupt that cycle.

Approximately 40 mg of topical CBD is applied as a spot treatment to areas of moderate pain or muscle tension, or more broadly to support whole-body relaxation. Early research and client reports suggest CBD may help take the edge off localized pain and ease the anxiety that often amplifies it. More research is needed to confirm these effects.

Add CBD to any Empirical Knead session in Atlanta's Old Fourth Ward.
